If FreeBSD fails in any one area, it would surely be in their communication ecosystem. This is why it would be funny to hear someone mention that the FreeBSD communication ecosystem is a fabulous one.
There are many a talented individual working on FreeBSD, yet still, many of the processes, from the outside, are simply inscrutable.
No matter what, the communication simply is none efficient. More donations may benefit FreeBSD very much, but their are those who are skeptical about making donations to a company that spends their money in secret.
