PC-BSD - a complete operating system for desktop, released its 7.0 version. Moving to the latest FreeBSD 7.0-stable and also incorporating the KDE 4.1.1 desktop will be a milestone.
Visuals were greatley rebuffed and a large improvement in harware support. Now it offers new methods of installation like DVD, USB, and even network or Web based install.
