Networking vendor Cayote Point is currently on the run of developing a Web Acceleration appliance, Equalizer GX, the promises improved web application speeds and optimal way to directly handle virtual servers.
An open source FreeBSD operating system was chosen by Cayote Point to carry the core platform of the Equalizer GX. They'll be using the version 6 instead of the latest version 7.1 to make sure the the os is pretty stabilized.
